The 2023 edition of Mr Flex Nigeria took place on Saturday 28 October 2023 at the indoor auditorium of the National Institute for Sports, located within the premises of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. It was a night of action which saw a new champion emerge and new talents arise.

The build up to the show started 2 weeks before, on 14 October, with a couple of action-packed aerobic sessions anchored by the Nollywood Ojez joggers club in the premises of the National stadium, bringing together members of the Surulere community for the 'Fit Up Nigeria' initiative. Over 300 persons were in attendance, an encouraging turnout that can only augur well for the wellbeing of the nation going forward.

The main event began with the ladies’ bikini classic featuring 2 athletes in attendance. Perpetua Nwanma retained her title from last year, beating out Victory Okeke to the gold medal. In the Men’s physique category, first-timer Lloyd Ibeneme took the honours, with Livinus Okechukwu and Ebuka Ezenkwochi securing 2nd and 3rd places respectively. This did not go down without some controversy at the start of the judging, though the initial hiccups were overcome to ensure a fair result. In the Men’s open bodybuilding, Olusegun Quadri won the lightweight category, with Ejike Beluonwu winning the middleweight and Tolulope Ajayi winning the heavyweight category.
