In his words: ‘‘I was first exposed to bodybuilding way back in 2011 when I used to be paid for loading barbells for athletes who used to work out at the Gombe State stadium gym. Gradually I developed an interest in the sport and began to partake actively. I have since been involved in other sports like powerlifting and shot put, but bodybuilding remains my first love. Unfortunately there are no championships for physically-challenged athletes like me in Nigeria at this present time.’’
