Accra, the capital of the West African nation of Ghana, continues to burnish its reputation as a hub for continental and regional the game as it played to the 2026 edition of the World Fitness Federation (WFF) All-Africa Bodybuilding Championships. Staged by WFF Ghana in conjunction with the global WFF governing body over the weekend of 2-4 October 2026 at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, the event attracted entries from about 30+ African countries, competing for official WFF International classifications, global pro-am credentials, and direct invitations to world-tier stages. The various competition classes on offer included the Men’s Open Bodybuilding; Men’s Classic Bodybuilding; Women's Figure; Women's Sports Model; Men's Sports Model; Bikini Model; Bermuda Beach Model (Warrior & Men's Physique); Latino Model (Wellness); Women's Glamour; Men's Jeans Model and the Women's Monokini (One Piece). Nigeria was represented at the championship by the trio of Abuja-based Abu Uma Sadiq (winner, superweight division of Men’s Open bodybuilding), Osogbo-based Azeez Oriyomi (winner, Bermuda Beach model) and Lagos-based Obafemi Sarumi (runner up, Bermuda beach model).

The event successfully served as yet another in a growing list of showcases and platforms for African bodybuilding, and further proof that the game continues to develop and evolve on the continent.

Congratulations to our Naija boys and all others who took part!
