In his words: ‘‘My first experience with weights was in 2009, when I started learning how to squat, snatch and jerk. I was a weightlifter, winning medals at a few editions of the Nigeria Police & Armed forces games, until 2016 when I switched to bodybuilding, and attended my first championship in 2018. My inspiration is Ronnie Coleman, with whom I have two things in common: bodybuilding and police work. I am grateful to people that I have met along my bodybuilding journey including Mr Okechukwu of GOC gym Kano, Mr Nazif, Mr Steve, Mr Soye and now, the world-famous musician, Davido, who I work with and has generously taken up my current gym fees.’’
