In his words: ‘‘At first I started bodybuilding for fun, to look fit, strong, big and muscular. Then my eyes were opened by a senior friend to the distinctness of bodybuilding as a sporting discipline. I was encouraged to try to develop my potential and I look forward to taking on the concept of competitive bodybuilding, something I believe I shall derive a lot of joy from. I hope that it will also generate positive spin-offs in other areas of my life.’’
