Ismail Temitayo Jimoh
Ismail Temitayo Jimoh, a.k.a. 'Iron man', is another of Nigeria's foreign-based legion of bodybuilding athletes! The Ogun State indigene was formerly based in the huge commercial city of Kano in northern Nigeria, where he grew up and established a career in electrical engineering. Ismail began bodybuilding in the year 2008 and used the famous GOC gym in Sabon Gari, Kano as his training base. It was here he acquired his nickname, a moniker given to him by his colleagues based on his approach to and progress in the sport. Ismail has maintained his love for the game over the last 15 years, and has continued to improve his build in leaps and bounds. "I have a passion for this sport and would like to become a professional bodybuilder in the near future," he emphasises. In 2019, Ismail took a step closer to achieving this when he relocated to the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, where he secured a contract as a protocol services operative. He has been based there ever since and can be found working out regularly at the Atlas gym, which is located within the Dubai Investment Park. Currently, Ismail weighs a lifetime-high 104kg, though he plans to cut down significantly in time for his stage debut, which he hopes will happen next year (2024) at the Dubai Muscle Show bodybuilding competition. He has resumed preps for that event, having taken a few months out to travel back home for his wedding recently.
