Kelvin Obinna Akanugwo
Kelvin, who is popularly referred to as 'Arthur' by close friends, is yet another Nigerian talent doing the country proud in the diaspora! Standing at a height of 6 feet 1 inch and having an offseason and onseason/stage weight of 110kg and 101kg respectively, it's no surprise that this beast has been a dominant force in Vietnam, where he is currently based!
Kelvin's bodybuilding journey began way back in the year 2007, when he was still a student based in the city of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State of South-south Nigeria, occasionally shuttling between there and the nearby commercial city of Aba, in the process of carrying out side hustles. As with many young Nigerians, he decided a few years ago to seek greater fortunes outside the shores of the country, heading to Southeast Asia where he has been steadily making a name for himself on that country's bodybuilding scene, taking top honours in The Classic physique division of the 2023 Global Classic Muscle contest, Asia's "premier bodybuilding and physique sports show", organised in October 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City and held under the auspices of the NPC & IFBB Pro League. His immediate goal is to secure a pro-card by October 2024, while he also looks at visiting home soon in order to establish his own gym.
