In his words: ‘‘I started lifting weights in 2011 after escorting a friend to his neighbourhood gym and was asked to try out a dumbbell. Upon continued engagement, I was advised by family and friends to quit the sport as they were of belief that it would have adverse effects in my old age, but I persisted. Going forward, I intend to change this negative perception though providing personalised training programs and nutritional advice. I have taken a huge step towards that by recently acquiring the relevant certification.’’
