In his words: ‘‘I started bodybuilding as well as weightlifting in 2016, initially because I wanted to become a bouncer. Eventually I joined the Kebbi State Sports Council and represented the state at the 2018 National Sports Festival, competing in the 70kg class of the weightlifting event. Currently, my target is to join the Nigerian Army; I am presently a fitness instructor and would like to be a source of motivation to the younger ones and encourage them to take up the sport. I also wouldn't mind trying out in a bodybuilding contest, but I would require the support of a sponsor to help me prepare properly.’’
