In his words: ‘‘I have always generally been an active athlete, and have been involved in various sporting disciplines over the years; I started with playing football before taking up 'langa' in 2010 while I was a student at the Federal College of Education Kano (where I studied Physical & Health Education, PhE). In 2011/12, I joined the Kano State Sports Council as a shotput thrower - which made me start lifting weights for arm strength initially - before switching to the discus throw in 2013. I left the Sports Council in 2016 and have been only lifting ever since. I have an NCE in PhE and have experience with personal training, bodybuilding and strength conditioning. I would like to become a certified fitness instructor and am always available for personal and corporate training."
