Sadiq Muhammed

Sadiq Muhammed is a welterweight bodybuilding athlete based in Muscat, Oman. Born in 1998 and originally hailing from Kebbi State, North-West Nigeria, he was however domiciled with his nuclear family in the small agrarian town of Tilden Fulani in Bauchi State, North-East Nigeria. The son of a former weightlifting national champion athlete and later coach, Sadiq had an early introduction to physical culture, initially starting off his sporting career as a wrestler in 2017 and subsequently going on to represent Plateau State at the 2018 edition of Nigeria’s National Sports Festival in Abuja as well as the 2020 edition in Benn City, Edo State in 2020.

While he had always worked out alongside his elder brother, Sadiq did not actively turn his attention to the bodybuilding sports discipline until the year 2023, which was the year he moved to the Middle East, where he works as a fitness instructor at Muscat’s ‘Iron Fist Fitness’ hall. He has since joined the competitive circuit with some significant achievements, having won a couple of silvers at the Oman Bodybuilding and Physique championship as well as gold in the Welterweight sub-division of the Men’s bodybuilding division at the recently held 2026 Lyft Oman NPC Pro Qualifier.
